HELLO 2008! 2007 was a blast!

I have a wonderful husband.
I have two amazing kids.
I have great parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and more!
I love being with my friends.
I have a pretty neat job - and students.
I love my hobbies.
I think 2007 was wonderful and surprising.

I set some goals for myself at the start of 2007, most of which I think I have achieved. I feel gratified by that. I've set some new personal goals for this year. None of that "diet" or "be more organized" stuff. I already try to live a healthy lifestyle. So, as I work on my (unpublished) goals, I hope to document my progress as I blog.

As for the pictures you see in this entry...These are of our friends, Donny and Julie, from New Year's Eve. They came up to visit us for the evening. We had steaks on the grill. We drank Appletinis and an assortment of beers. We caught up on what was going on and celebrated that Julie finished her schooling and graduated today. Later, Julie had the great idea to go sledding. We live 2 blocks away from a sledding hill. We bundled up the kids, got our sleds and had a blast. Julie was in a sled and hit a ramp and had some major air - that started us on a competition. All of us, including the kids, were hitting the jump and trying to fly through the air. We also had a distance competition. We later played games, watched some television and rang in the new year. The kids tried to stay up until midnight, but alas, fell asleep.

2008 - I welcome you and am looking forward to a new year!
