We are a bunch of Guitar Heros

My husband came home with a game today. Yeah, I was mad that he spent the money on this game. I'm not mad anymore...I've played the game and so have both of the kids. OMG - they are so fun to watch. My daughter is actually doing very well on the game. She's completed "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Slow Ride" and has attempted "Story of My Life". OK, the first time she tried it she started crying and ran out of the room (they boo-ed her off the stage), but then my husband and I played and failed as well. Then she realized that she doesn't need to be perfect to play, just have some fun. Now we are wrestling the guitar away from her so we can play. All while we were doing this, our son was just watching. He didn't want to play. He finally asked to try it in practice mode. We took a picture. He is just too damn cute with the guitar around him and staring at those notes. Actually, here he is practicing to "Slow Ride" and he gets that hip movement when he hits a note just right.

I think we have the Quick-Laughlins to thank for this. We went to their house for a Groundhog's Day party and they had Rock Band that we played. The adults all played, but not the kids - they watched. My husband had a blast with their game, but we don't have an X-Box to get the game that they have. (By the way, I totally rocked at the Q-L's playing the drums - I had a lot of fun!)

We'll need to have some friends over to play soon...
